DNA is a leading design and digital consultancy made up of a great bunch of people who help businesses and government solve problems, innovate and deliver empowering human-centred experiences.

We are an organization that holds people at the heart of what we do - it’s in our DNA. We will provide you with creative opportunities, resources and support to help you grow and a working environment that fosters collaboration and treats all people as fully formed adults, equally worthy of respect and dignity.

In return we expect you to be curious and always looking beyond the obvious or formulaic, passionate about developing your capabilities, energetic, open and committed to working collaboratively to deliver great insights and results.

As Engagement Manager, you will.

  • Be an integral member of multi-disciplined teams working on projects from conception to delivery in a technical and creative environment.
  • Our projects range in size from very large to small, working across customer experience design, user experience design and transformative digital projects.
  • You'll get to make a positive impact and do some great work, while being supported by a close-knit team, working alongside wonderful client teams on a range of interesting and meaningful problems.
  • This is a client-facing role so you will have outstanding interpersonal skills; you’ll build confidence with our clients, work collaboratively with team members and operate well in a fast-paced dynamic environment, to bring in projects to manage and help the team to deliver.
  • We expect you to be brilliantly organised, with superb timekeeping, planning and risk mitigation and be comfortable managing complex projects. You'll also be big on quality assurance and client relationship management. Whilst we use adaptive project methodologies, exposure to agile would be advantageous.

Working with clients.

  • Identify client business needs and build and maintain relationships with all clients.
  • Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service on time and on budget.
  • Manage schedules, budgets and overall project management across multiple clients and projects to ensure requirements and project deliverables and dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed.
  • Apply a degree of commercial understanding to understand client needs, manage budgets and other project financials whilst delivering to profitability targets.
  • Identify and communicate to Engagement Director and raise any risk management issues where needed.

Working with teams.

  • Promote a collaborative team environment with a strong sense of pride in own work and that of others.
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance.
  • Help manage studio workflows to meet client deadlines and apply resources most efficiently.

We are looking for.

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in managing and planning medium to large scale projects.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of client relationships.
  • Experience in managing technical and digital projects with a knowledge of CX, UX, UI strategy and design.
  • Adaptability to shift from small to larger projects and deal with a variety of personalities with ease.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive under pressure, with superb timekeeping, planning and risk mitigation and be comfortable managing complex projects.
  • Good attention to detail and strong quality assurance traits.
  • Whilst we use adaptive project methodologies, exposure to agile would be advantageous.
  • Positive, curious, enthusiastic and collaborative attitude – and an intrinsic motivation to deliver the highest quality work.

At DNA, we are committed to providing a work environment that reflects the diversity of the communities we work in and the populations we serve.

Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, or ability, we firmly believe that our work is open, inclusive and that we are at our best when everyone feels free to contribute and be their best.

Does flexible working hours and working when you’re most productive make sense to you?
We agree. Our standard contracts give you the flexibility to nominate the days you work — so you get to decide what your week looks like.
