We are an organisation that holds people at the heart of what we do - it’s in our DNA. In return we expect you to be curious and always looking beyond the obvious or formulaic, passionate about developing your capabilities, energetic, open and committed to working collaboratively to deliver great insights and results.

In this role, you will.

  • Help to optimise, or re-invent the experiences for a range of clients — across the Private sector, Not for Profit and Government.
  • Conducting exploratory research to map, evaluate, or understand issues, processes, ideas and opportunities.
  • Consider the overall goals and context of an organisation in order to drive meaningful improvements.

  • Work collaboratively with DNA’s teams, client teams and subject matter experts.
  • Participate in a vibrant, creative and purposeful team culture.

We will provide you.

  • Flexible working hours. We know there’s more to life than work, and we encourage our employees to find patterns of working that fit their individual needs as well as those of the team.
  • An established and inclusive team that fosters/encourages innovation, creativity, feedback and collaboration.
  • Interesting and varied work across a wide range of clients where the focus is on the quality of thinking – to drive outcomes for our clients and their customers.
  • Career pathways and learning opportunities to enable your continued growth and development.
  • An open, creative and energetic working environment, where you can help shape, build and enhance the team's culture and way of working.

We are looking for.

We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds who have experience in some or all of the areas outlined in this job description – however, you must have had experience working in an Experience Design or related role.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Experience Design or related roles
  • Able to demonstrate strong human-centred design and research capabilities through previous projects or roles.
  • Expertise and interest in research, experience mapping, and the development of empathy tools like insights, personas, mindsets etc.
  • Positive, curious, enthusiastic and collaborative attitude – and an intrinsic motivation to deliver the highest quality work
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, empathy and adaptability and willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams
  • A good understanding of general business practice, and how to navigate the needs of larger organisations.

At DNA, we are absolutely committed to providing a safe work environment that embraces and designs for the diversity of the communities, cultures and people across Aotearoa. As a team, we are proud to come from a variety of backgrounds, races, religions, cultures, sexual orientations, ages, and abilities.

We acknowledge that a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment is an ongoing journey and are dedicated to improving the experiences of those from marginalised groups in the way we work and the work we deliver.
